Lead in laminate print

18 November 2010

Mondi Consumer Bags & Films has developed a new process for direct rotogravure print on a barrier laminate of paper/PE/aluminium/PE that is claimed to offer reduced lead times and higher design flexibility.

In addition to ‘unmatched reproduction grades’ and time savings, says Mondi, the new technology enables print approvals to be made with the final material used for the packaging, ‘guaranteeing the identical print quality’.

The laminate used offers excellent barrier properties against water vapour, aroma, oxygen and UV light and has no impact on the sensory properties of the filled product. In addition, the material ensures complete seal integrity for maximum product safety.
